Krutbruket Series
As a relatively new Swedish rum distillery, we could quite easily have waited before showing what we do, only to make a grand entrance when the time came for a major launch. We tend to think a little differently, though.
We’ve noticed that many people appreciate being part of the journey, so we listened to our visitors and created this series.
That is why we created the Krutbruket Series — a limited collection of bottlings and a way to be part of the story from the very beginning.

Farm gate sales terms
You may purchase a maximum of 0.7 litres per person per visit – provided that you have been of legal age for long enough to meet the age requirement.
Swedish law sets the minimum age at 20. Please note, however, that Stobirk applies a minimum age of 25 to all our public events. Photo ID is therefore the most important accessory of the day and must be presented upon request.
Age may be just a number, but this particular one is something we take very seriously.
Farm gate sales at Stobirk
Farm-gate sales mean that we can sell our rum directly to you – at the very place where it is made and matured.
Under Swedish law, farm-gate sales must take place in connection with a paid, educational visitor experience. At Stobirk, this means that sales form part of our bookable events, where you step inside the distillery, see the craft up close and have the opportunity to taste Swedish rum where its journey actually begins.
So you do not simply choose a bottle from an anonymous shelf. You get to know it first. More than an ordinary shopping trip – and considerably more enjoyable, if you ask us.
The first releases in the Krutbruket Series are Origin and Oak Influence. One bottle contains a white rum; the other, a rum that has had a brief touchdown in Swedish oak. Over time, the latter will allow visitors to follow the rum as it matures in the cask, offering a deeper understanding of how oak ageing shapes its flavour profile.
With this series, we are opening up the process and inviting you to follow the development of a new chapter in Swedish rum production. Each release captures a moment in an ongoing journey as we explore, adjust and refine.
This means that you experience not only the finished result, but also the road that leads to it – and how different casks, maturation periods and decisions shape the final rum over time.
The Krutbruket Series is as much a record of the process as it is a product.
An opportunity to experience the development of Swedish rum, step by step, on its way towards a full-scale launch at Systembolaget.
This is where Stobirk begins.
