As a relatively new Swedish rum distillery, we could quite easily have waited before showing what we do, only to make a grand entrance when the time came for a major launch. We tend to think a little differently, though.
We’ve noticed that many people appreciate being part of the journey, so we listened to our visitors and created this series.
That is why we created the Krutbruket Series — a limited collection of bottlings and a way to be part of the story from the very beginning.
Farm gate sales at Stobirk
Those who have matured long enough in age to attend one of our events can take part in Stobirk’s first bottlings, created for farm gate sales at the distillery.
The first releases in the Krutbruket Series are Origin and Oak Influence. The bottles contain white rum, along with rum that has made its first touchdown in Swedish oak casks. Over time, the latter will allow visitors to follow the rum as it matures in the casks, offering a deeper understanding of how cask ageing shapes the flavour profile.
With this series, we open up the process and invite you to follow the development of a new chapter in Swedish rum production. Each release marks a point along an ongoing journey of exploration, refinement and adjustment.
This means you are not only experiencing the finished result, but also the path leading there — how different casks, ageing periods and decisions influence the final spirit over time.
Krutbruket Series is as much documentation as it is a product. An opportunity to experience how Swedish rum evolves — step by step, all the way to a full-scale launch at Systembolaget.
